IT'S A SHINE R-E-V-I-A-L!
This time it wasn’t my crazy God idea, it was Pastor Rebecca’s. Becca thought we needed to do a spring break revival in the park. That 3-day revival launched us into a beautiful spiritual awakening.
Revival Day #1. Despite disrupters & distractors, I preached the gospel to a full house and the message was received by the majority. The minority, however, broke out in fights and shortly after preaching, I found myself sitting on top of a 9-yr old prying another child out of his headlock! Good times!
Revival Day #2, the Shine intercessors went to work. We don’t pray because God is moving, He moves because we pray.
Revival Day #3, I preached that saying a prayer doesn’t make you saved. Believing that Jesus paid for your sin makes you saved. Then I watched in astonishment as 40+ kids staked their claim on eternity!
Post Revival Week 1
The Lord prepared a table before us in the presence of our enemies.
While demonic forces surrounded us & disrupters distracted us, most of the kids claimed a divine encounter. Some kids wept. Some hugged us and their friends. All of them were profoundly still.
Post Revival Week 2
Praise God for the Shine Intercessors! We had very little disruption as 49 kids filled our 10 little benches. I led them into the presence of God with a playlist and cheap karaoke machine. Afterward I asked who experienced the love of Jesus and almost every child raised their hand.
In April of 2025, the Lord said that by this time next year we would have a full-fledged movement. I BELIEVE IT’S ON!

Several years ago, the Lord spoke that we would continuously overflow every resource and when we did, he would provide. Not only has this been true, but it has been painfully uncomfortable to not be able to stabilize.
God keeps moving. People of all ages keep getting saved. We are making disciples. A church is forming from the inside out of our low-income community.
My 825-sf home is wall to wall ministry and that’s not counting the yard. We use all of that too! Our capacity and finances keep growing, but as soon as they do, the ministry has already outgrown them.
We have a lot of children who want to read the Bible this summer.
